Minnie’s Beach Cafe: The Friendliest Breakfast on Anna Maria Island
Locals told us Minnie’s Beach Cafe served one of the island’s best breakfasts—and they were absolutely right. Expect genuinely lovely service, enormous portions, and the warmest welcome.
Some of the best recommendations on Anna Maria Island come from the people who live here. When several locals told us we had to try Minnie’s Beach Cafe for breakfast—and that it might be the best breakfast on the island—we listened. They were right.

The Warmest Welcome
The first thing that stood out was the service. It was so lovely, friendly, and personal that we immediately felt welcome and looked after. Our server was meeting us for the very first time, yet remembered my name straight away. That is incredibly rare and such a thoughtful touch—it made breakfast feel less like visiting a restaurant and more like being welcomed into a favorite local spot.
Minnie’s may genuinely be the friendliest place we have visited on the island. Nothing felt rushed or impersonal; the warmth of the service was every bit as memorable as the food.
Come Hungry: The Portions Are Huge
The portions at Minnie’s are seriously generous. The pancake was almost the size of the plate—the kind of breakfast that makes you stop and laugh when it arrives because it is even bigger than you imagined.

Whether you prefer a sweet breakfast or a hearty savory plate, this is somewhere to arrive hungry. The menu includes pancakes, waffles, French toast, egg sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, and plenty of traditional breakfast combinations.

The Veggie Omelet Was Incredible
I chose the veggie omelet with potato hash, and it was incredible. The omelet was packed with vegetables, the potatoes were golden and crispy, and the toast completed a plate that was both comforting and absolutely enormous.

It was exactly the sort of breakfast you hope to find on holiday: freshly cooked, satisfying, and generous enough to keep you going through a full day on the island.
The Queue Says Everything
By the time we were leaving, a queue of people was waiting to have breakfast. After our experience, it was easy to understand why. Minnie’s has the food people return for and the kind of friendly, personal service people remember.
The locals gave us brilliant advice. If you are searching for a welcoming, no-fuss breakfast with huge portions and a genuine island-community feel, put Minnie’s Beach Cafe near the top of your list. We would happily go back.
