Lace up for the Dolphin Dash 5K and Fin's Fun Run at Coquina Beach on October 10—a family-friendly morning supporting Anna Maria Elementary School.
A favorite island school tradition is heading back to the sand. The Dolphin Dash 5K returns to Coquina Beach on Saturday, October 10, 2026, joined by the brand-new Fin's Fun Run. Both races benefit Anna Maria Elementary School, making this a feel-good morning for local families, visitors, runners, and walkers.
Two Races, One Fun Beach Morning
The Dolphin Dash is a timed 5K that takes runners along paved paths and the beach. Fin's Fun Run is an untimed, stroller-friendly 1K designed for all ages and fitness levels. Early versions of the event flyer described the fun run as roughly 1.5K, but AME PTO has since measured the route and confirmed that it is 1K.
Both races include finisher medals and awards, so everyone gets a chance to celebrate at the finish line. Whether you are chasing a personal best, jogging with friends, walking with the family, or cheering from the sand, the emphasis is on community and fun.
Supporting Anna Maria Elementary
Race proceeds benefit Anna Maria Elementary School and the work of its Parent Teacher Organization. The PTO helps fund classroom resources, student activities, enrichment opportunities, and other school needs throughout the year.
